HUMAN SERVICES ESSENTIAL SERVICES

While Gilpin County Government nonessential services are closed, there are several essential services still being provided. Human Services will be taking preventative measures while providing the following services:

Seniors

For the safety of our seniors and staff we are suspending the senior Grab-n-go lunches. If you are a senior in need of food assistance, please contact Mary Ellen at 303-582-9200 or gilpinseniors@gilpincounty.org

We are currently working on a plan to pick up prescription medications for our seniors. Mary Ellen will be in touch with the seniors once the plan is in place.

Gilpin Connect is currently on hold while the county offices are closed. This is at the request of our state and federal partners to enact “social distancing.” If you have questions, please call Mary Ellen. Please call Mary Ellen at 303-582-9200 or email gilpinseniors@gilpincounty.org if you have any questions.

We are currently using Gilpin County Staff in place of volunteers to limit the spread of the Coronavirus. While Gilpin County has zero cases of the virus, we want to be able to serve our community and do our part to prevent the virus from spreading. Thank you for your patience and we look forward to having all of our wonderful volunteers back once this is over.
