TREASURER ESSENTIAL SERVICES While Gilpin County Government nonessential services are closed, there are several essential services still being provided.

Governor Polis’ Executive Order D 2020 012 allows County Treasurers to waive delinquent interest for delinquent tax payments. This executive order expires April 20, 2020. Taxpayers who cannot pay in full on/or before April 30th now have the option to split their payment. Under the current executive order, a taxpayer can pay half of what they owe by April 20th without penalty and the other half by June 15th. To do this you must pay by check NOT on the website.
To pay your property taxes you can:

Go to the Gilpin County Website www.gilpincounty.org; Click on Departments, Click on Treasurer, Click on link “Pay or View Property Tax” You can pay by electronic check and the fee is $2 and you can pay by Credit Card and the fee is 2.9%. If you are late paying, interest will be charged.
