Transfer Station:

The Trash Transfer Station is open normal hours with limited services. In order to reduce interactions between staff and the public, large items, construction debris, free trash day tokens, electronics, tires etc. will not be accepted at this time. Recycling, cardboard, and bagged household trash is being accepted from county residents only. You must prove residency; your window sticker is the preferred method. There is no charge for bagged household trash, however there is a 3 bag limit per visit. In addition, cardboard is now being accepted. The normal transfer station hours are Wednesday through Saturday 7:00 am - 2:30 pm and Sunday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm.

UPDATE: The Transfer Station will resume normal operations on Wednesday, May 13th. We will be accepting all items that were accepted prior to this closure. All fees will also be reinstated at this time. Face masks will be required to be worn by all visitors to the Transfer Station.

The slash site will open for the season on Wednesday, May 6th. The site will be open to Gilpin County residents only at this time. It is scheduled to be open through Sunday, October 18th with the same days and hours as the Transfer Station. (see above)
