PUBLIC WORKS ESSENTIAL SERVICES

Transfer Station:

The Trash Transfer Station is open normal hours with limited services. In order to reduce interactions between staff and the public, large items, construction debris, free trash day tokens, electronics, tires etc. will not be accepted at this time. Recycling, cardboard, and bagged household trash is being accepted from county residents only. You must prove residency; your window sticker is the preferred method. There is no charge for bagged household trash, however there is a 3 bag limit per visit. In addition, cardboard is now being accepted. The normal transfer station hours are Wednesday through Saturday 7:00 am - 2:30 pm and Sunday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm.

Road and Bridge:

Crews are not performing regular road maintenance during this closure, however we will be performing essential road repairs. In case of snow, plows will operate on the normal routes. And of course, we will respond to emergency situations. We are checking answering machine messages at 303-582-5004, and emails at gcroads@gilpincounty.org.
