Transportation Sales Tax Funds













DESCRIPTION

In 2009 the citizens of Fountain passed the Moving Fountain Forward (MFF) Transportation Sales Tax Ballot Measure (0.75%). In 2019 the Street Capital Improvement Projects (0.35%) portion of the sales tax expired. The remaining balance of the Street Capital Improvement Projects will be utilized in 2021 by the Engineering Department to complete unfinished projects. Which include the following:

- Railroad Crossing Horn Quiet Zone & Safety Improvements

- Comanche Village/US 85 Intersection

- Ohio/Jimmy Camp Creek Intersection

- Carson Boulevard/US 85 Traffic Signal

- ADA Sidewalk Curb Ramps

- Indiana Crossing and Intersection

The Public Transportation Services (0.25%) and Street Resurfacing (0.15%) portion of the Moving Fountain Forward sales tax remain in effect. The Transportation Director administers the Transportation Sales Tax (0.40%).
