Ambulance Fund
DESCRIPTION
The City of Fountain Fire Department started providing transport emergency medical services in January 2002. The department staffs two advanced life support ambulances each day with a third ambulance that is available from fire station #3 when staffing allows. Paramedic advanced life support allows the department to provide high quality emergency medical services to include advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), IV Therapy, external cardiac pacing, synchronized cardioversion, endotracheal intubation, and numerous drug therapies.
The ambulance has certainly saved countless lives by providing quick deliveries of its citizens to hospitals in the area. The paramedics and EMT’s assigned to ambulance are also certified firefighters.
Revenues and Expenditures
The following table shows revenues and expenses for the Ambulance Fund from 2022-2024. Revenues and expenses are primarily based on discussions with the Fire Chief and the ambulance payments provider.
This table includes 2022 actual results, the 2023 amended budget and year to date actual results, the initial 2024 proposed budget, suggested revisions to that budget and the revised proposed 2024 budget.

Ambulance Fund Net Position
The following table shows net position impacts from the Ambulance Fund budget from 2021 -2024. The net position is positive and continues to support itself.
