Why We Exist
The Durango Welcome Center provides downtown visitors with basic services such as downtown maps, public restrooms and drinking water. It also provides a place to purchase concert tickets and get answers to many questions about the Durango area. In short, the Durango Welcome Center is the nucleus of downtown Durango, providing
the ultimate concierge service and welcoming the world.
Key Functions
What We Do
Located on the corner of Main Avenue and 8th Street in the heart of Historic Downtown Durango, the new Durango Welcome Center is a one-stop “information” shop for all that Durango and surrounding La Plata County offers to visitors and locals. Its realization is a result of a unique collaboration of four key entities: Durango Business Improvement District, Visit Durango, Fort Lewis College and the City of Durango, plus key support from a broad cross-section of the community.
