The Director of Communications oversees and shapes the district’s internal and external communications strategy in order to deepen engagement with internal and external stakeholders, while elevating the district’s brand. The Office strives to ensure communications are timely, informational, and accessible. The Office is integral in offering communications and marketing support to departments and schools and works closely with the Information, Communications, and Technology Services Department to oversee the website and create marketing materials. The Director of Communications is also the spokesperson for the district and manages all news media requests.
Strategic Goals
- Strengthen effective communication and positive storytelling through standardization of best practices and professional learning.
- Improve district-home communication through the launch of a single platform for consistent, user-friendly, multilingual communication.
- Implement the Language Justice plan, with focus on consistency across schools.
