Narrative: The Township has a large focus on green initiatives in 2021 and 2022. More residential recycling helps to slow the expansion of the existing landfill in Colerain and increases the total amount of grant dollars awarded to Colerain Township by Hamilton County Solid Waste and Recycling. The residential recycling rate increased dramatically from 2015 - 2018 when the Township contracted for recycling as part of the Township's residential solid waste collection contract. Green initiatives were not adopted as a legislative priority in 2023.
