As the principal fund of the City, the General Fund is used to account for all activities not included in other specified funds. General Fund Revenue includes property and business taxes, licenses and permits, intergovernmental revenues, service charges, fines and forfeitures, and other types of revenue. This fund includes most of the basic operational services provided by the City, such as fire and police protection, public lands, public works, and general government administration.
