2023 Streets/Roadway Projects
R2023-01; 2023 Street Reconstruction Project & R2023-02; 2023 Street Overlay Project
The pavement in this area has reached the end of its useful life. The project will remove/replace the asphalt. Patch repair of curb where its heaved or settled will be performed. There will be an upgrade on the lighting system to LED fixtures and metered feed point. Spot repairs of sanitary sewer and water main will be done based on televising results and break history. Signs will be replaced to improve reflectivity and compliance with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Overlay Helmo Avenue from Hydram to Stillwater Boulevard, and 15th Street from Helmo to the east City Limits. Upgrade the signal at 15th/Helmo for ADA compliance.
The Cardinal Meadows neighborhood was developed in 1998. The public improvements were completed by the developer and turned over to the City as public improvements and maintenance responsibilities. The roadways around the 4Front campus were constructed between 1985 to 1997. The pavement conditions are poor and maintenance costs are increasing. The roadways at 9th, Gershwin, and Glenbrook were last replaced in 1996.

The pavement in this area has reached the end of its useful life. The project will remove/replace the asphalt. Patch repair of curb where its heaved or settled will be performed. There will be an upgrade on the lighting system to LED fixtures and metered feed point. Spot repairs of sanitary sewer and water main will be done based on televising results and break history. Signs will be replaced to improve reflectivity and compliance with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. The project also includes the installation of a 8' wide bituminous path and pedestrian bridge over I694 along 40th Street.
The Oaks of Deer Run neighborhood was developed in 1993. The public improvements were completed by the developer and turned over to the City as public improvements and maintenance responsibilities.

The project also includes the installation of a 6' wide concrete sidewalk along Greenway Avenue from Hudson Boulevard to 7th Street.
This neighborhood is one of the oldest areas of Oakdale. The last major resurfacing of the streets was done in 1996.
