FISCAL YEAR 2024 BUDGET
Project Name: Trail Development & Land Acquisition
Department: Parks & Recreation

This fund is used to acquire land and easements from private properties and also to fund construction of nature trails and shared use paths (ADA accessible paved trails) both within existing parks and between parks and schools and neighborhoods. The fund is also used to purchase parkland for general purposes and to match grants from state and federal agencies.
An additional $100,000 is requested in FY 24 for a land acquisition to create a park in the Cedars neighborhood which currently has no public parklands. We have a willing seller for a parcel that we wish to acquire.
