PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

These funds continue the City’s support for the Charlottesville Supplemental Rental Assistance Program (CSRAP), which provides monthly tenant-based rental assistance for Extremely Low - Low Income households.

Establish and sustain a funding commitment to address affordable housing needs, tied to requirements to address community goals.

Goal 7. Subsidy Programs

Focus and align subsidy programs with community-defined priorities and make

changes to increase the impact of public spending.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES / STATUS:

Objectives: To provide rental assistance for low-income residents.

Status: Funding for this program was first allocated in FY18. To date $5,295,000 has been allocated by the City for this program. Currently, approximately 62 rental subsidies are covered each month through the City’s funding. This is an ongoing project.
