AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT STRATEGY
SUMMARY
Cabarrus County awarded $11,393,731 to twelve (12) organizations providing mental health services to residents in Cabarrus County.

Amazing Grace Advocacy - $391,140
Program: Respond to the desperate need of support and case management for children in Cabarrus County with complex disabilities of the brain, involving mental health, childhood trauma, autism, intellectual disabilities, and neurological brain disorders.
Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation - $3,535,000
Program: Create an expanded behavioral health holding unit outside of the Emergency Department at Atrium Health Cabarrus. The new behavioral health holding unit will be a 3,623 square-foot locked space encompassing between 12 to 14 beds, a dedicated shower, a telepsych unit, and other behavioral health care needs.
Cabarrus Public Health Interest - $1,585,444
Program: Provide evidence-based mental health treatment and support services for at least 675 uninsured or underinsured, low-to-moderate income residents. These residents will be supported through at least 5,400 grant-funded mental health treatment appointments.
Clarkinetics & Associates - $570,000
Program: Provide services on an individual or group basis on topics such as addiction, anger management, coping skills, depression, life transitions, and relationship issues, to name a few.
Camino Health Center - $1,648,300
Program: Launch a bilingual behavioral health services program and expand primary care services at Concord location.
Cano Family Services - $300,000
Program: Provide culturally competent, specialized, behavioral health and parent education services to individuals and families in Cabarrus County.
Genesis A New Beginning - $879,925
Programs: Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and therapy for those 18 and over; Provide on-site therapy in Cabarrus County and Kannapolis City Schools.
Rise 2 Thrive Family Resource Center - $790,101
Program: RISE is an 8-week, group facilitated program that provides counseling, case management, parenting support, financial literacy and budgeting workshops and individualized skill training and career coaching.
Kannapolis Head Start - $90,000
Program: Mental health provider to determine mental health needs within the Head Start program.
Vida Wellness Center - $221,000
Program: Mental health counseling services through individual sessions, family sessions, and group counseling services.
Mental Health America - $795,297
Program: Emotional Toolbox for Building Resilient Communities is a comprehensive, county-wide initiative that serves to provide the community with access to the resources, awareness, education, and online screening tools needed to address mental health concerns for themselves, their families, friends, coworkers, and neighbors.
Silver Linings For Seniors - $587,524
Program: Employ Community Health Workers (CHWs) to promote mental health services and provide mental health first aid training in communities. Provide direct services, mental health counseling to Cabarrus County residents (via teletherapy and in-person counseling).
