Section III - Non-Departmental: 9401 Utilities

The Town utility budgets include electricity, natural gas, fuel oil, postage, telephone & communications, CVEC charges, diesel, gasoline and systems repairs.

• The budget represents a $58,811 (13.26%) increase over the FY22 budget.
• Due to an increase in electric rates, the electric line has been increased by 6%.
• Communications/Telephone has been increased by $10,000 based on prior year actuals.
• Fuel oil, gasoline and diesel are bid through Barnstable County in the late spring. We have assumed a 3% increase.
• CVEC Administrative line has been increased by $1,000 as we have brought more projects online.
• Postage has been increased by $2,000 due to an increase in the cost of postage and more voting by mail.
• A line item in the amount of $35,000 has been added for the utilities at the Cape Cod Sea Camps Bay property.
