Description
The Barnstable County Retirement System provides retirement services to 15 Towns and 36 Districts which represents 3,150 retirees and 6,000 active employees covering most of Cape Cod. Brewster employees represent approximately 4% of all pension eligible employees in the County system. Member unit assessments generally increase by 8-9% each year to fully fund the system's retirement obligations by 2037, but each Town's annual contribution vaies depending on the number of employees and their total compensation.
