Fund Summary

This Special Revenue Fund is similar to the Dedicated Resources fund but has, to date, been primarily used for flood-related grants. The remaining Flood Sales and Use Taxes from a voter-approved expired tax and yearly contributions from the General Fund make up the current fund balance.

The COP principal and interest payments are budgeted in this fund and currently supported by the sales tax residual balance. When the sales tax is fully utilized, General Fund transfers will be budgeted in future years to make the final payments if necessary.

Beginning in budget year 2023, the county will budget $1M per year into this fund to establish a reserve to prepare against future county disasters.
