Gender Pay Equity

This dashboard is a tool for the community that provides transparent gender pay equity information for companies seeking to do business with Bernalillo County, the City of Albuquerque, and the Water Authority. These companies are required to comply with the Gender Pay Equity Initiative which seeks to close the gender wage gap by completing the Pay Equity Form. Companies with 0% pay gap between male and female employees earn a certificate and 5% preference in competitive solicitations.

Gender Pay Equity Initiative

The Gender Pay Equity Initiative was developed as a collaborative partnership between Bernalillo County, the City of Albuquerque, and the Water Authority. This initiative requires companies to report gender pay disparities in their organization and rewards organizations that pay men and women equitably with a 5% preference in competitive solicitations (RFPs and RFBs).

The graphs below represent the difference in pay between male and female employees across companies, showing the average difference/gap for all companies, min/lowest gap between all companies, and max/highest gap for all companies.

Note: Certificates are given to companies with equitable pay between male and female employees. Companies are considered inequitable for males paid more than female employees and females paid more than male employees.
