TH 10 Corridor Improvements

The Highway 10 corridor is plagued with significant congestion and crash issues involving all modes of traffic including vehicles, trucks, pedestrians, trains, etc. Based on the Highway 10 Access Planning Study, it was determined that by converting the defunct TH 10 Expressway in the cities of Anoka and Ramsey into a "hybrid" freeway, we could achieve 95% of the crash reduction benefit and 90% of the congestion relief benefit at 50% of the cost of a conventional freeway. In addition, there is a new plan to expand TH 10 between Hanson Boulevard and Round Lake Boulevard to a 6-lane freeway in the city of Coon Rapids.

Note: Specific projects will have costs and funding splits on separate CIP projects.
