TH 10 "Add-a-Lane" Project

Trunk Highway 10 through the City of Coon Rapids has seen an increase in traffic in recent years. The corridor carries approximately 80,000 vehicles per day in the section between CSAH 78 (Hanson Blvd) and CSAH 9 (Round Lake Blvd). East of CSAH 78, US 10 is a six-lane highway. West of CSAH 78, the highway is four lanes. The reduction in lanes, combined with the increase in traffic volume on the corridor results in congestion, a decrease in mobility, and a decrease in safety. This project looks to extend the six-lane freeway from Hanson Boulevard to Round Lake Boulevard.

The TH 10 "Add-a-Lane" project proposes building a third lane of traffic in each direction on U.S. 10 between Round Lake Boulevard and Hanson Boulevard.
