PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Continued management of water quality at Heart Lake including milfoil and algae treatments

REcommendation:

Continue to fund this as needed through Forest Lands Reserves and city general fund.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES / STATUS:

This should be done as aquatic survey and lake testing dictates. Aquatic weed and algae treatment at the lake will need continued attention and treatment to preserve existing habitat and recreation opportunities. Eliminating or broadly reducing blooms of toxic cyanobacteria will benefit public health.
