PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Construct a new, or expand the existing, solids handling/dewatering facility at Operations to better accommodate septage sludge from the WWTP

Recomendation:

Current facility is inadequate to take care of current septage and other solids dewatering requirements. A considerable amount of staff time is taken by current system as well as reintroducing difficult material to flat/slow sewer lines this causes other issues. Relocating the facility to the WWTP would likely require an indoor facility with substantial odor control due to the plant being located near the downtown area in a residential neighborhood. Further discussions and evaluation are required to determine the best location for the facility.
