PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

We want to upgrade the "small courts" area of Storvik Park that now includes horseshoe pits, shuffleboard courts and an old lawn bowling area. There are a number of options of what might go in its place including a, bocce ball area, sand volleyball or temporarily making it a grass play area that could accommodate different uses.

REcommendation:

Seek funding from community groups in combination with city funds to make desired improvements.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES / STATUS:

As the city population continues to grow this places added demands on the parks system by those seeking outdoor recreation opportunities. Improvements at Storvik Park to accommodate a variety of types or play and age groups is what we are seeking.
