PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

When the park was created several years ago with a dog park and new athletic field we did not have the funds to complete pathways, add a restroom, organized parking and other facilities.

recommendation:

Provide the funding to complete this project as soon as revenue allows.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES / STATUS:

As Anacortes continues to grow we are seeing an increasing use of our parks. Our own recreational leagues are growing and using more spaces for practices, especially during soccer season. Other leagues run by local athletic non-profits use these fields as well. Completing the park is an important element in our goal to provide adequate recreational facilities for our growing community.
