Recycle Center

Mission

Why We Exist

The Recycle Center is responsible for processing, marketing and selling the recyclables that are delivered to the Recycling Center.

Key Functions

What We Do

This division has two main functions: the processing of recycle material and the operation of the public drop-off area. The public drop-off area is open five days a week and collects recycle material from the public. On Saturdays, the public drop-off area extends our recycling program to allow collection of electronic waste, household batteries and fluorescent bulbs. The Recycle Center program requires two employees, one forklift and loader for processing the collected material. Staff collects and processes household recyclable materials, electronic waste and batteries.
